| Doesn't matter which colors I like. When those lambo doors swing up, the winning scheme is obvious.
(they both look good, with lambo doors' slightly more appealing, imo. The dark color top could mean carbon fiber for less weight higher up. Function in the paint...) _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| The black paint on top would be less functional - it'd be harder to keep the engine and cab cool. It looks like I'm on the opposite side of everyone else again - I like the black sides better. To me the black on top makes it look more like a sports car, which is o.k. if that's the direction you want to go in. I want it to look more like a european luxury brand. I want even more people to think it's a Rolls Royce - although if I mod it enough I may put my own symbols on it and consider it my own tuner brand. I think a nice jewel encrusted eye-of-ra symbol would look killer in the grill I'm also finding more widespread acceptance for the lambo doors than I would have imagined. Fine with me, when I have to park it in the garage I barely have enough room to get out of the car. So if I can just manage to afford them, I guess I'll put them on. | |

| imo lambos dont belong on any luxury car period, and im 17 but i know what works for me, high class luxs thats what i need, i dont need to prove im a baller. i know my riv is one of the hottest cars on the road stock no need to " gangstafi it". imo the only think the riv need is candy paint leather and tons of wood, others just add to it
sorry for my rant but i hate lambo doors, the belong on a lambo

| Now that's what I'm talking about. Maybe I should start looking at chrome rims again. My mechanic also mentioned chroming the door handle, which the Rolls has. I could almost go for suicide doors, except it would be my luck to prove why they're called suicide doors. Only on a car that is rarely driven . . . I considered "suicide lambo doors," but after looking at the door I don't think they would work. - palermocorey90 wrote:
sorry for my rant but i hate lambo doors, the belong on a lambo I've said the same thing myself, but even I've succombed to the dark side of the force. I would argue though that the Riv is fit to wear them precisely because it is a wildly styled car to begin with.

| The Rolls above looks good with chrome wheels because it uses the silver on top paint scheme. If the colors were reversed, the wheels would look better black, imo. It's better color modulation, more contrast. That's why we like it.
The lambo doors make a lot of sense, but those "invisible" doors are even better. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| I ended up in the proverbial tight parking space today, could barely squeeze out the door. I managed to kick the speaker area on the way out. I'd like to have a custom speaker install like on the Jordan and Pippen cars, but if I had it maybe I'd put my foot right through the speaker. So there's another way the Lambo's are functional - get those speakers out of the foot area when entering and exiting the vehicle. Here's a couple chops for ewolfe - I might consider the last ones - | |

| Jack the R,
Thanks a ton! The first set is no longer a consideration now I can see it on the car. I might go with the latter but I will need to sleep on it. I really hate to get rid of the rims I have now. They really work with the riv but weight is weight. Maybe I could keep both and alternate!? Maybe one set on the drivers side and the other on the passengers...jk. Also thinking about nixing the black inserts... could you hook me up again if I get a photo coming your way?

| Another chop for ewolfe - What it looks like 2tone - I ended up making them bigger than 19". I've been at this for a while, making mistakes. I like the look. The only thing I don't like is that it's a common spoke pattern, but it's light and I could live with it. A few more - I dig the Bugatti look, but I can't find any info on this rim. This might be the richest looking rim, in real life, but the lighting and perspective were too far off for good pchopping. It looks heavy. Here's a beautiful rim someone should get - Also available in black. | |

| Aaron, how did you know I was thinking about this thread?
Are you going for a satin black finish?
I'd pick black rims either way if you're painting the center black.

| I wasn't thinking black, just slightly darker grey/green w/ clear coat. Maybe could mix 10-20% black into the factory slate green color used on my car.
The only way I'd use black rims is if I painted every chrome piece on the car black as well. For now, m chrome pieces are holding up well, so will enjoy them for awhile. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| You are too extreme palermocorey90. I like the paint and the rims but the chop is too much. I think I've got a new favorite rim - Menzari may be phasing these out, that is not so good since I'd rather wait a few months before buying. What a gorgeous rim though. Not the best rim I've ever ever seen, but I like it. It's like the new ZR1 rim, the way it's a blend of a 5 star and the wire looking rim. I hope it's lightweight. | |

Sweet. That could look really tight on our cars if it's done right. Bitch to keep clean though! Definately need the F body brake upgrade if you use them.
