| I don't think the black looks terrible, but a darker/grayer shade of the same blue might look better. I dig the blacked out rims! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| black looks weird on blue. go all black with the matte on the hood and trunk and deck. it looks cool and correct. if the blue was dark navy ,might look good too.

| Thanks! Thats what my brother said; go with the black. If anything, he said I should clear coat the rims. It might add some protection from scratching the paint off, which happened earlier at Burger King | |

| I guess you don't have the center caps, maybe you can find some rust encapsulator and black paint for the rusted axle (?) part that's showing.
It's a great look though, I like how they match the grey plastic.
BTW they're 20's, right?

| I painted them black earlier, and yes they are 20's. This yokel at the tire place was mounting them and then theres this big fuss in the shop, and like 5 guys come running out and speaking Arabic looking confused. Well, apparently they figured the rums were mistakenly engraved 20X8.5 on the inside and actually were 21''...but the guy was mounting the tires upside down sop they wouldnt fit. Special. Those rusted centers stood out like a turd in a punchbowl. Now my brother says to clear coat them, which actually might offer some protection from scratches and whatnot, but I wont have that satin look anymore.
I wanted the centercaps, but the only place I found them was a store on ebay and they have them listed at $69 apiece or make an offer. I wrote them and asked them what would they take for 4 and they said the lowest was $59 apiece. Im not up for paying $240 plus $30 shipping for 4 centercaps on some rims that only paid $250 for anyways.

What happened, some sesame seeds get stuck in the rims. Just need a toothpick.

| I like the new commercial when the King steals the McDonalds recipe for the McMuffin, or the one when he runs through the office building before he gets sedated lol | |

I dunno, maybe you should rethink that, unless you're planning on changing rims. - KillaKeninaRiv wrote:

I don't get that one, it's like they're trying to say they're second rate and can't come up with anything better than McDonald's. I never thought Burger King was worse than McDonald's before.

| The guy at the tire shop said just get a Buick centercap and scuff it and paint it to match them instead. I measured the width and it was 6 1/8'' on the outside I believe. I may have to find something remotely close and try that | |

| I am going to paint the riv soon,so i am looking around for ideas that will make the riv stand out.The Riv body has alot of real estate imo,and i think a 2 tone paint would look cool.the rivs sharp body lines lend itself to 2 tone. the Bugatti veyron 2 tone i think would look perfect on the riv. I've done it up on paper, and the lines complement the veyron paint scheme the veyron paint in say, cream white with navy looks awesome. i don't have photoshop but if someone does, draw it out and take a look. i thought i could save a bundle if i could somehow make the white stand out without it being corny, easy to do with such a bright color.maybe blacked out chrome and grill with flat black rims with a matching black pin stripe along the length of the body. or a bright red wheel rim lip with accompanying body stripe. I saw a beautiful charger ,painted house of color Root Beer. it looked really class with flat black body accents with flat black rims. Root Beer color would fit the riv body well i think. what schemes have you guys thought about for your riv? your ideas would be welcome... | |

| thanks JR! the second left from the bottom is beautiful.that's what I'm talking about! an encompassing scheme that wraps around the riv,to break up the real estate goes perfect with the riv.no doubt. that is an idea i just might adapt. ill give the artist full credit! that's perfect! its preferable IMO over the much used typical 2 tone that's been used before. | |

| i do. its a flawless scheme for the riv. it would go amazingly well with the sqrivi bumper set. but with mechanicals needing attention they will have to wait until just before paint. i wonder if resident paint and body expert Bigdave is following this thread and what he thinks? WHAT YA THINK BIGDAVE? | |
