I keep forgetting your Riv is white. I always picture it in Jewish Racing Gold like mine is.

Robo: I have been curious about what your car looks like ever since I joined this group. It's gonna be sharp with those colors. What lines do you plan to follow with your two-tone? The wheels would look good with the centers satin black and the outer rim left the way it is IMO... I would also leave the inner part of the oval cutouts and the lug holes in the aluminum. Looking forward to a few pics of the finished product. Good Luck and keep us posted. thumbsup

This is exciting. I've been wondering when you were gonna do this. Your colour choices look pretty cool as do the rims. One question, are you a body guy or is the body that straight and rust free that you can prep it yourself? Anyway, good luck man!

Yeah, the body is super straight.the left fender got pretzeled one night when my belly was full of rum and my eyeballs didnt see the parking post comin at me.I banged it out pretty good.just got to sharpen the lines a littleI
I removed the side moldings and hope to do a good job filling in the gap.I dont have the metal skills to weld in a steel panel, but I bonded a thick piece of aluminium into the cavity left by the molding.just a question of carefully filling the gaps.I'll do all the work myself.

Impressive, did you remove the interior panels to remove the moldings or did they pop off with clips?

Looks good. I am excited to see what the finished product looks like without the side moldings. I've been considering removing mine.

Thanks! I hope I do it right.it takes a ton of patience to remove all the ripples and what not...

The moldings just pop off.no fuss.the clips dont allways come off with the moldings, but when I removed the inner door panel I fished them out.

Robo: Something you might want to consider...There is a very subtle line that curves downward from the rear trunk lip forward along the rear quarter. It's hard to see unless you have a shiny car and it's in certain light conditions. I don't know if you still have enough shine on your car to see it, but if you do, you might want to look for it and consider that line for your two-tone point. Just a thought. (I wish I were a photo shop expert so I could show you what I'm trying to describe)

Be a shame to paint those nice wheels before you can see the full effect. They seem pretty slick, and in keeping with the oval theme of your Riv. Not to mention the upkeep of painted wheels.
My 2 cents smile

Another Robo Point !!! Can't wait to see the finished product. Take the GF to Pizza Hut for a night out on the town. Nothing quite like a stuffed crust and a pitcher of beer to ease the tension...LOL beer
