Robo, my man, I went through the thread again and have spotted what seems like 3 different foam materials you have used to construct the front bumper? At first I see the cream colored you used to fill the bumper in with, then I see green foam over that in one of your outdoor pics, and finally blue in a later pic once you had the fenders chopped up. What's with the different colors? Can you list the materials you've used thus far on the bumper? Thank you!

well my man..i gotta admit, the bumper plan aint comin along as i hoped. its been a rough road to get the bumper all square and even. had i not gotten into the whole suspension thing, the sqrivi bumper would have been top buying priority. but im still at it.i just have a 1977 motobecane 50cc moped build goin on right now taking up all my extra time.
the material are nothing more than different hardeners for different bondos.some bondos come with red oxide colored hardener.others with blue hardener. the green bondo is kitty hair bondo.i use it to reinforce the bumper.

I've been sanding down the rivi and also deleted the mouldings and chrome trim around the wheel wells. Im just waiting for it to warm up to get this thing in primer. Hopefully turns out okay.

I cannot wait until my Riv looks all torn up like this, this summer! It's going to blend in so much better here in the ghetto. With the paint off the roof and all the caps off the wheels, it's looking pretty beat up as it is! Urban camo!

by the way, it looks like the lighting in your garage is meant for working on cars.

O yea I cant wait to get this thing ready I just did the Hockey pucks on the subframe and poly sway bar bushings and links. I like that pearl paint on your RIvi Charlie. I think Im going to go with the factory pearl again. I had to put it in the garage thanks to some jerk that did this to my windshield

I know this is Robo's work thread, but..

Ruben, do you have any more pics on your trim delete around the wheels? Aren't there holes where it clips in? Did you just fill them and sand it? I am curious!

Dude, Robo, your alternator IS MASSIVE, and that snubby snout on the blower is pretty cute.

Nice sticker collection too! 5-10+hp?

haha! you guys! bounce well..its the original OEM alternator.there are upgrades available for it. like this

http://store.alternatorparts.com/cs144-series-250-amp-dual-rectifier-alternator-conversion-kit.aspx

i know jack all about electrical systems and the such but I understand this is a good upgrade if you have a aftermarket amp and speakers and just a good upgrade alltogether.

I'm gonna save my good HOK paint for the future.I will be returning the car to white just to make her look presentable for now.

Damn, Robo, I am so sorry to hear this. All that planning and hard work down the drain.
Had viewing your completed bumper mod on my bucket list, and I thought for awhile back in November that I had lost the chance for good. Then, when I learned I might make it, that 1 item on my BL gave me something to live for.
Once again; I am so sorry for you.

Aww,dont worry about it.I still have an idea to make it work.I failed a step in the bumper mod when I didnt sand the inside of the bumper to give it some key.A rough surface would have given the polyurethane foam something to hold onto, since i missed this step the poly began to delaminate from the bumper causing all kinds of warping issues and the such.Crucial error.Fabricating 101 really.I now have a junked bumper I picked up from my local pic-a-part.I just might revive my idea and start all over.I'm not out much, just alot of personal time invested. It was a really good leasson in fabrication do's & dont's.Lesson learned.

I've been busy with work and started to work on other projects in the engine bay. But here is a pic of the deleted mouldings and antenna. What do you guys think? I still have to add a little filler and block sand it down but its coming along. I'm waiting on my 3.4 SC pulley and AL103s from ZZP.
