my bucket list is to see your Riv when it's really completed, new custom bumpers and all. And I'm probably not going to last too much longer.

Hey thanks Jim! I'm afraid to say my custom bumper did not turn out well.I still think my idea can work.I'm going to put the oem bumpers back on.They'll look real good all painted up.

Hey man,You'll be around along time! lots more Riv in your miles!

The paint should be fully cured by tomorrow and the assembly begins.Lots of bits & pieces.

Robo! LOOKIN GOOD, HOMIE!

What tool(s) did you use to strip the paint down to bare metal to prep for the paint?

Just a wire brush + rotary tool?

I only sanded down the body with 350 & 400 grit then primed.
I made a few mistakes that need to be fixed. Missed a few spots along the doors and a bare spot or two on the inside of the mirrors. The interior of the doors still need a little more clear so does the underneath of the hood and trunk lid.Otherwise I'm happy with the overall first time result.

Very Nice!! I am a big fan of the dark green. My '96' was dark green. Wish I could have found my '98' in that color instead of pearl white. It was low mileage tho and when the roof started to peel and flake, I had it painted the seafoam green of my '65'. So I have a two tone and it don't look too bad at all.... thumbsup

Hey Robo,
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, but when you're in bad enough shape to have to cancel doctor appointments, neglecting a friend comes with the package. They're not making spare parts for a 1936 model anymore, and the originals don't work so well now. I may have to get rid of my Riv because I have a lot of trouble getting in and out of it. Makes a nice garage ornament, though, and I don't burn a lot of gas.
Anyway...back to your question. What do I think of your Riv? You did an exquisite job on it. Love the color. Didn't thank anything was wrong with the trim until I saw yours with it removed.
Now [i]that[i] makes a big difference!
 That is one gorgeous Riv!
Did I mention that I like it?

Hey,thanks, Jim! Glad you like the way the Riv came out!  She looks way better with the side trim removed.Real clean. No mall parking.
Still gotta a bunch of little Nikity knacks to finish but she's almost done, specialty hardware and the like.
Thanks again for the compliment!
Take care of you're health my friend, watch what you eat and only natural.Get some fresh squeezed vegi juices everyday and you'll be fine!
